Tomasz Szypu?a, CEO of PTAK WARSAW EXPO expresses that the current situation of the exhibition industry goes in the right direction in Europe. Everything is going back to the pre-pandemic state. The vaccination process has played a crucial role in this phenomenon, because the number of cases has decreased and people feel much safe at the moment. What is more, many travel restrictions are being lifted and we hope that very soon they cease to be a problem for all of our foreign partners.

Hungry for face to face recovery

“We were able to refreeze our activity in September and the numbers of visitors in the exhibitions we organized since that time have exceeded our expectations. We were ready to perform hybrids events but the truth is that people are hungry for face to face meetings and they are eager to participate in on-site trade fairs again. This tendency is not only present in Poland but also in other European countries. Our international team with Mr. Kazimierz ?wik?a- the Vice President of Ptak Warsaw Expo at the helm have visited many exhibitions recently, e.g. in Germany, Italy, Hungary or Turkey and we observe the same. We have hope that this state will continue, and we will manage to perform all our projects planned for this year and also for 2022. ” Tomasz Szypu?a tells our reporter.

An increase in interest, visitors more than expected

Tomasz Szypu?a says that they actually see an increase in interest in the fairs among visitors, also noticed more visitors than we expected. It is not shocking because people were missing attending such events. One of the flagship exhibition of ours - Warsaw Home &Contract has just ended. Again, it was a great success. Since the beginning of September, we held 9 other exhibitions:

EuroGastro & EuroHotel

Warsaw Dental Medica Show

Rema Days

Beauty Forum

Bio Expo Warsaw

Tools&Hardware Show in the connection with Construction Machinery Exhibition

Camper Caravan Show

Poland Shoes Expo

Animals & Veterinary Days

By the end of this year we are planning to organize 7 more events:

Warsaw Yacht Salon

Warsaw Industry Week

Warsaw packaging

Warsaw Food Tech

Central Aglicultural Fair

Fast Textile

Warsaw Plast Expo.

They are very active and, thankfully, the pandemic situtation is at the moment good enough to allow us to achive the goals we had for 2021 and carry out all the exhibitions we planned. We hope that the next two months shall stay the same.

“I thinks the organic food industry is developing very fast. It is definitely a good trend. We could see the huge interest and involvement in this issue during our Bio Expo exhibition. Even though it was happening in times of pandemic, this years edition has been the most successful so far. Also, the packaging industry has developed unquestionably. Because of the pandemic, people started doing online shopping more than ever. Consequently, the e-commerce has led to a significant support of packaging companies, which are growing rapidly. That is why we are certain that at the end of November our Warsaw Pack exhibition will attract a lot of attention and interest. We expect this tendency to maintain also the next year. ” added by Tomasz Szypu?a.

The industry relies on the vaccinations and our own caution

When asked when the pandemic will end and fade away completely , Tomasz Szypu?a tells the reporter that it is difficult to forecast. A lot depends on the vaccinations and our own caution. However, they observe that the vast majority of them have adjusted quite well to the new circumstances and is dealing much better with the “new world” they all live in. They believe that if they stay responsible and follow all the safety regulations, they will be able to save MICE industry from shutting down again.

The physical exhibition is still the mainstream

Tomasz Szypu?a shares with us that acco rding to their observations of the Polish and international market, online and hybrid events constitute a practical alternative. However, he thinks they shall never displace physical meetings. Almost all of their clients and partners claim that onsite exhibitions maximize the effectiveness of doing busi ness, and the turnout in this years trade fairs prove the same. Hence, I sincerely hope we will maintain the positive tendency and I wish that to everybody involved in the MICE industry.
