“In Italy the trade fair sector is worth 60 billion euros. Fiera Milano is the Italian leader and one of the main integrated operators worldwide in the exhibition and congress sector. The Group manages the leading exhibition site in Milan and dominates events in numerous manufacturing sectors: fashion, furniture and furnishings, home and lifestyle, mechanical tooling industry, tourism, professional hospitality, food, plant engineering and energy, construction and art. Specifically, the business of the Group is focused on the management, organization and hosting of exhibitions and other events through ensuring the availability of equipped exhibition space, project support and related services. Its offer is completed by engineering services, stand-fitting services –for both prefabricated and customized stands –stand-fitting technical and logistic services, as well as a multichannel platform that includes web content and congresses. Our goal is to be a link between supply and demand even in the post-Covid era. The fairs have to be a place for relationships, business, cultural exchange useful for creating value for SMEs and for territory. Only if we can reach this goal we can actively help companies to grow. Fiera Milano has been listed in the STAR segment of the Mercato Telematico Azionario of the Italian stock market since 2002.” says Robert Tripoli, International Development Director of Fiera Milano S.p.A.

The vaccination rates and the Green Pass accelerate the regional mobility

Robert Tripoli states that despite the epide miological framework is still uncertain, the current situation is more stable than in the recent past, thanks to the progression of vax coverage levels as well as the Green Pass measure – starting from the 1st of July -have facilitated the mobility in the EU area, a necessary measure for guaranteeing the participation of operators in international trade fairs and congresses.

In addition, to guarantee visitors, exhibitors and organizers the participation in total safety in trade fairs and events taking place within its exhibition and congress centers, the Group has developed a Protocol for the containment of the spread of the new coronavirus which illustrates the methods for the safe conduct of trade fairs, in full compliance with the health rules and protocols issued at national level. Among these measures there was particular attention to the indications for entering into the fairground: pedestrian and vehicular access gates were redefined, paying particular attention to the correct management of transit flows. Not only that: the use of digital technologies has been implemented to automate entry procedures. A new App gives the possibility to access a series of services including fast track, parking, and restaurant reservations. And the catering areas have been organized in such a way as to guarantee the necessary social distancing. Finally, the constant use of the mask for all those who will enter the fairgrounds completes the adopted measures.

The exhibition goes as planned due to the trust of customers

“After the “restart” with the special edition of“Salone del Mobile.Milano” held in September, today we prefer to talk about a new "rebirth". Thanks to Tuttofood (food), Host (hospitality) and Meat-tech (packaging), we reached the highlight of the exhibitions scheduled in the last part of the year. We are satisfied with the goals achieved so far. The companies still believe and invest in this synergistic project and they use the exhibition platform of Fiera Milano as a relaunch hub for the involved supply chains. It wasnt easy to restart after many months of inactivity but, thanks to the trust of the companies, we have planned an exhibition calendar that will see us in the limelight until December. We have planned over 30 trade fairs. More than 50 percent of what was previously done in a year. In November we will host the pharmaceutical industry with CPHI, the main event of the sector (November 9-11). Then we will welcome the world of motorcycles with Eicma (23-28 November). In November, we will have three other trade fairs directly organized by Fiera Milano: Made Expo(building), Sicurezza (Security) and Smart Building Expo (Building automation) (22-24 November). We will conclude the year with the Artigiano in Fiera (handcrafts), appointment scheduled in December (4-12 December).”adds Robert Tripoli.

The technology brings to the transformation, offering customers the good experience

Robert Tripoli tells our reporter that tech nology will help them more and more in the development of the hybrid format, which has the advantage of offering to their customers new products and services as well as a much more inclusive visitor experience and which will increasingly represent the landmark for the sector in the next years.
