Ministry of Natural Resources Plateau Desert Area Strategic Mineral Exploration and Development Technology Innovation Center Opening Ceremony

In Middle December, Plateau Desert Area Strategic Mineral Exploration and Development Technology Innovation Center of Ministry of Natural Resources was officially opened in Xining, Qinghai. The Center was co-applied and co-constructed by Qinghai Provincial Geological Survey Bureau, Qinghai Salt Lake Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Qinghai Yellow River Mining Co., Ltd. As the first Technology Innovation Center of the Ministry of Natural Resources approved by Qinghai Provincial Natural Resources System, the Center aims to provide scientific basis for comprehensively promoting the implementation of a new round of breakthrough strategy in mineral exploration, leading the innovation of mineral mineralization theory in plateau desert areas, and promotion and application of new exploration and development technologies and methods. Next, the Center will be oriented to breakthrough in national strategic mineral resource exploration and increase in reserves and production, will deem research and development, transformation and application of key technologies for strategic mineral exploration and development as the core; the Center will give full play to the function of a platform and a bridge, and give full play to the advantage of integration of industry, academia, research and application; will go to all lengths to support a new round of breakthrough strategic actions in mineral exploration; will build an innovative platform featuring rich innovation achievements, coordinated efforts from all parties and improved technical service; will aim to provide support for national strategic mineral resource security guarantee and construction of Four Industrial Regions in Qinghai Province; will advance the progress of strategic mineral exploration and development technology of geological prospecting industry.
